Black Adam (Teth/Theo-Adam) is a fictional personality performing in American comedian books posted by means of DC Comics. Created via Otto Binder and C. C. Beck, the personality is one of the archenemies of the superhero Shazam and the nemesis of the Shazam Family. Black Adam first seemed as a one-time villain for the first problem of Fawcett Comics' The Marvel Family comedian e book (December 1945).[1] However, Black Adam was once revived as a ordinary personality after DC Comics first licensed and then received the Fawcett characters and started out publishing Shazam (formerly Captain Marvel) Family tales underneath the title Shazam! in the 1970s.[2]

As initially depicted, Black Adam was once a corrupted, historic Egyptian predecessor of Captain Marvel, who fought his way to current instances to undertaking the hero and his Marvel Family associates.[3] Since the flip of the twenty first century, however, Black Adam has been re-defined via DC Comics writers Jerry Ordway, Geoff Johns, and David S. Goyer as a corrupted antihero trying to clear his title and reputation. Featured roles in such comedian e book collection as Justice Society of America (JSA), Villains United, Infinite Crisis, and fifty two have accelerated the character's prominence in the DC Universe. In 2009, Black Adam used to be ranked as IGN's 16th-greatest comedian e book villain of all time.[4] The personality will make his cinematic debut in 2022's Black Adam portrayed via Dwayne Johnson set in the DC Extended Universe.
